LAND&MONKEYS unveils its 100% plant-based Christmas collection

The aim remains the same: to offer festive pastries that are accessible, inventive, and consistent with the brand's commitments. The entire collection will be available in stores in Paris, Aix-en-Provence, and Bordeaux. Pastry chef Valentin Garnot has created four Yule logs, including the limited edition "Mont-Key." This creation combines crunchy hazelnuts, chestnut cream, soft biscuit, vanilla ganache, and a blackcurrant center, all coated in white chocolate. It is available in a six-person size for €55. The Hazélia log combines hazelnut mousse, homemade praline, and vanilla ganache, in a version compatible with a gluten-free diet. The Chocolate log combines a soft cocoa biscuit and a crispy puffed rice layer. The Azahar combines different textures of pistachio and a ganache flavored with orange blossom. The four-, six-, and eight-person sizes will be available starting December 11 at prices of €27, €38, and €49, with the eight-person size available by order only. Individual logs will be available starting December 2 at a price of €6.50. The collection also includes seasonal products. Panettone, in candied fruit or chocolate versions, citrus gingerbread cake for six servings, Monkey Roll and gingerbread monkeys, with €1 donated to the Jane Goodall Institute for each monkey sold, as well as Monin winter syrups will also be available. Starting December 26, the collection will expand to include galettes and Bordeaux brioches. Galettes are available individually for €4.50, or for four, six, and eight people for €22, €32, and €42, with two fèves for the eight-person size. Pecan galettes are available for six people for €38. The Bordeaux brioche is available in individual portions for €4 and in portions for six people for €17. Land & Monkeys Is a Dream Come True in Paris
I still remember the days when eating vegan in Paris meant cobbling together a picnic from a health food shop. Those times were fine, and we did what we had to do, but what a different city it is now. And right at the top of the “what a time to be alive” list is Land & Monkeys. Read more below. ---------------------------------------- Land & Monkeys is a completely vegan chain of cafés and delis that has done the unthinkable. They’ve made being vegan in France feel not just possible but wildly indulgent. Nine locations in Paris alone, plus one in Bordeaux and another all the way down in Aix-en-Provence. Vegan pastries. Vegan sandwiches. Vegan coffee with all the fancy milks. This is the sort of thing I used to dream about while gnawing on that suspicious baguette. Everything they serve is exquisite. Freshly baked bread that smells like it was pulled from a countryside oven. Gorgeous pastries that look like they belong behind glass in some glossy food magazine. Quiches, flans, sweet treats, and sandwiches stuffed with creativity and deliciousness. And yes, they do hot drinks and coffee. It’s all vegan, and it’s all wonderful. Whenever I’m in Paris, Land & Monkeys is the first place I seek out and usually the last place I visit before heading home. My favourite location is the one on Rue de la Roquette. Just a short stroll from there and you’re at Père-Lachaise cemetery, one of the most peaceful and beautiful places in the city. Paris is an overwhelmingly beautiful place. The architecture, the parks, the meandering streets that somehow always lead you somewhere charming. But add in an all-vegan bakery chain of this calibre and the city becomes something even more special. Land & Monkeys isn’t just a café. It’s a marker of how far things have come. It’s proof that vegan food doesn’t have to apologise or compromise. It can be delicious, stunning, and everywhere. And in the case of Land & Monkeys, it is.
