© Tripletta, Becco by Edouard Auffray (@edouard_auffray), and Slice Pizza Club. While Paris has almost as many pizzerias as Rome or Naples (proportionally speaking!), it’s nearly impossible to create a completely objective ranking. Everyone is convinced their local hidden gem makes the best pizza in Paris. But how do you sort through the thousands of Italian restaurants offering pizza? The foodie team at Do It In Paris did the work for you, digging through iconic spots, new arrivals, and secret finds to present their top 7 pizzerias. Prefer Roman-style or Neapolitan-style crust? Don’t worry, we’ve included both—and more! The concept: Step back into the 70s at this quirky pizzeria near Rue Saint-Honoré, boasting a spectacular disco-themed decor! Think mosaics, velvet banquettes, carpets, and wallpaper from floor to ceiling in the stunning upstairs dining room. On the menu: super thin and crispy Roman-style pizza made with the finest Italian ingredients. Our favorite dishes: The Tonnata, featuring perfect tuna, sun-dried tomatoes, capers, and olives (€19). The flavorful Diavola, with spicy spianata and smoked stracciatella (€18). And the elegant Tartufo, topped with cream, truffle oil, and fresh truffles (€34). The extra touch: Delicious starters made with super fresh ingredients, like the artichoke carpaccio with bottarga, mint, and pecorino (€16), or the melt-in-your-mouth Vitello Tonnato (€19). The concept: Blasting music, bold stripes everywhere, eye-catching neon, and fiery red dominating the scene—Slice Pizza Club breaks all the rules and delivers an electrifying atmosphere! This vintage look, inspired by the streets of New York, was created by two young French entrepreneurs, Kevin Sebag and Michel Puech, who are huge fans of American pizza. The trendy slice pizza—with its thin, crispy crust, served as an XL single slice—has found its perfect home at these two locations. Our favorite recipes: The bold Spicy Vodka, made with tomato sauce, vegan cream, a shot of vodka, and pesto (€4.50), the classic and iconic Pepperoni, generously topped (€5.50), and the refreshing Be Lemon, with tangy cream, mozzarella, and lemon zest (€5). Pair them with a sip of frozen lemonade or homemade iced tea (€6). The extra touch: At Slice Pizza Club, you can level up your slice with fun extras like cheesy sauce, hot honey, chili peppers, truffle sauce, or stracciatella (€1–€2). Slice Pizza Club, 24 rue de la Pépinière, Paris 8th, and 32 rue Saint-Sauveur, Paris 2nd. Open Tuesday to Saturday from 12 pm to 11 pm. The concept: Giuseppe Cutraro, the undisputed king of Neapolitan pizza, brings his talent to the heart of Paris with this new spot near Les Halles. Within its striking 25-meter-high façade, Giuseppe teamed up with architect Jessica Mille, who designed an elegant, modern decor energized by bold colors. Our favorite recipes: Of course, the World Champion Pizza, a must-try at least once in your life, featuring yellow tomato sauce, 24-month-aged Parma ham, buffalo mozzarella, grilled almonds, provolone, and organic fig jam (€20). Also, the rich Four Cheese pizza, blending mozzarella, ricotta, camembert, and Roquefort, softened with summer truffle honey (€18). Peppe, 11 rue Etienne Marcel, Paris 1st. Open daily for lunch and dinner. The concept: You might need to brush up on your Italian to pronounce the name of this hidden gem, nestled between Ternes and Neuilly. Run by three brothers, this spot draws in the foodies of western Paris, all eager to indulge in a perfectly risen, digestible, crispy, and soft Neapolitan pizza. Cooked in a traditional oven, each pizza is topped with authentic ingredients straight from Italy. Our favorite recipes: It’s hard to resist the Capricciosa, with San Marzano tomato sauce, fior di latte mozzarella, spianata calabrese, ham, artichokes, mushrooms, and olives (€17). The rue Froissart location, featuring charming posters, white wrought-iron benches, and a cozy upstairs (watch out for the spiral staircase!) with tables by the windows, giving off a vacation vibe. Here, the spotlight is on Roman-style pizza: thin-crust, crispy, and topped with fresh, quality ingredients. Our favorite recipes: Sometimes the simplest things are the best, and we can't resist the Goudes with tomato, buffalo mozzarella, olive oil, basil, and pine nuts (€15). Don’t forget to add the garlic-parsley mix for extra joy. Other solid choices include the Joliette with olives and anchovies (€15) and the mind-blowing Panier with scamorza, spicy sausage, and arugula (€16). A guilty pleasure? The unorthodox yet delightful Estaque with crème fraîche, mozzarella, salmon, arugula, and chives (€15). The extra touch: Unbeatable takeaway lunch prices, with most recipes available for just €11.50. La Cerise sur la Pizza, 14 rue Froissart, Paris 3rd. Open daily for lunch and dinner. The concept: The team behind Pizzou has done it again. In a stunning space on rue de Maubeuge, they’ve launched a “new-generation trattoria” with a perfectly on-trend vibe. With exposed stone walls, wood paneling, marble accents, hanging plants, vintage mirrors, and stylish rounded booths, it’s simply gorgeous. At Becco, the Roman-style pizza is cooked at a low temperature for a delightfully crispy and more digestible result, thanks to its 10% whole grain flour. So, can we have two? Our favorite recipes: The Becco, topped with bresaola, yellow confit tomatoes, 15-month-aged parmesan, and basil (€15); the Las Vegan, perfect for veggie lovers, with tomatoes, zucchini, artichokes, mushrooms, red onions, sun-dried tomatoes, and olives (€15); the classic Napolitaine, with black olives and anchovies (€15); or the Bufflone, with mozzarella, basil, and cherry tomatoes (€14.50). Ciro e i Suoi Fratelli - Paris (75017) - 716lavie
