Fondée par un couple passionné, ce laboratoire de haute glacerie propose des glaces italiennes traditionnelles, élaborées avec des ingrédients de haute qualité et un minimum de sucre. Leur approche artisanale privilégie la simplicité et la pureté des saveurs, avec des sorbets composés à 70% de fruits et des glaces sans conservateurs. Chaque jour, ils proposent quatre parfums soigneusement sélectionnés, préparés sur place avec des produits sourcés directement auprès de producteurs, comme les pistaches de Bronte ou les noisettes du Piémont. It took a while to catch up. Now, there are plenty of great spots, whether you’re into classic French sorbets, Italian gelato, or something unexpected. Here are my go-to places when I need a good scoop, or simply something fresh when it’s hot in Paris. #1 GLACES MOUSTACHE 📍63 Rue de Bretagne, 75003 Paris 📍44 Av. de la Bourdonnais, 75007 Paris Moustache started in Saint-Malo over 30 years ago and was even named one of the best artisan ice cream makers by Le Monde. Today, it’s a franchise with shops all over France, including three in Paris—but it still keeps that small-batch, high-quality feel. I found Glace Moustache by accident while wandering through the Marais. The long queue could’ve put me off, but I stayed. And good thing I did. I got salted caramel and pistachio, and wow. Creamy, rich, just the right amount of sweetness. If you’re in the area, don’t hesitate. #2 GLACE BACHIR 📍 58 Rue Rambuteau, 75003 Paris & 7 Rue Tardieu, 75018 Paris (Montmartre) Bachir has been making 100% organic Lebanese ice cream since 1936, and their Achta ice cream is the real star. A mix of fleur de lait and orange blossom water, rolled in crushed pistachios—it’s creamy, floral, and has that perfect crunch. I absolutely loved the rich texture and the crunchy pistachios. It’s nothing like Italian gelato—denser, more fragrant, and seriously addictive. If you love pistachio and orange blossom like I do, this one is one of the best ice cream shops in Paris and a must-try. The Montmartre shop is right below the park leading up to Sacré-Cœur—ideal for a scoop before the climb, or a reward for after. #3 POZZETTO 📍 39 Rue du Roi de Sicile & 16 Rue Vieille du Temple, 75004 Paris If you are looking for an ice cream shop in Paris that does gelato the Italian way, then Pozzetto is your place. Traditional methods, fresh ingredients, no shortcuts – just really good gelato. The queue used to be monstrous. Every time I walked by, it felt too long—even for me. But things got easier when they opened a second shop just 20 meters away. Still a line most of the time, but honestly? Absolutely worth the wait. My favorite is Fior di Làtte. #4 AMORINO 📍 Multiple locations across Paris Amorino is famous for its flower-shaped gelato cones—a treat that’s as pretty as it is tasty. You can mix as many flavors as you want, and everything is made with natural ingredients. It’s a solid choice, and to be honest, it just never disappoints. That said, I rarely go for a cone here. They’re beautiful, sure, and the gelato is good—but I’m a sucker for their affogato. A scoop of gelato drowned in hot espresso? That’s the real treat, especially when topped with a macaron… irresistible! #5 BERTHILLON 📍 29-31 Rue Saint-Louis en l’Île, 75004 Paris If there’s one classic Parisian ice cream shop, it’s Berthillon. Born on Île Saint-Louis in 1954, it’s been serving up rich, artisanal ice cream ever since. Their fruit sorbets are insanely fresh, and their ice creams? Creamy, deep in flavor, and just right. Plus plenty of flavors you rarely find anywhere else, like cacao whisky, orange safran carrot, or why not roasted pineapple? The original shop is still here, but plenty of restaurants around town serve it too—like Le Flore en I’Île, which, fun fact, is also a filming location for Emily in Paris. Whether you grab a scoop at the source or spot it on a menu, you really can’t go wrong. #6 CAFÉ ISAKA 📍 9 Rue Thérèse, 75001 Paris I discovered Café Isaka in 2024, and it instantly became a favorite. Right in the 1st arrondissement, this place mixes Asian flavors with French ice cream craftsmanship. They even have fried ice cream and some seriously good milkshakes. As a big fan of Japan, I love everything about it—the sleek design, the cozy vibe, and most importantly, the flavors. Pandan, White Rabbit candy, and of course, Matcha. If you’re up for something different, this is the spot. #7 ANGIOLO GELATO 📍 180A Bd Saint-Germain, 75006 Paris My husband had been wanting to try Angiolo for ages, so when we took a walk through Saint-Germain, it was the perfect excuse. I went for yuzu, one of my favorite flavors, yet not easy to find. And he chose double crème from the Swiss Alps. Both were delicious. They also have a little outdoor seating area, which makes the experience even nicer. And since it’s just a few steps from Café de Flore and Les Deux Magots, it’s easy to take a quick detour for a scoop. GOOD ICE CREAM SHOPS IN PARIS? FINALLY, YES. Whether you’re into classic French sorbets, rich Italian gelato, or unique flavors from around the world, there’s a spot for you. These are my personal favorites, but new places keep popping up.
