Mamie Colette, the authentic French-inspired restaurant in Montmartre
Published by · Updated on December 24, 2021 at 02:58 p.m. Mamie Colette welcomes lovers of authentic French cuisine on our dear Butte Montmartre. On the menu, fresh produces, homemade recipes and hearty plates. As if you were at your grandma’s! Say good riddance to tourist traps, at Mamie Colette Montmartre, pride of place is given to the authentic and genuine French cuisine. Everything is homemade, based on fresh produces and cooked with the greatest care. Some even say Mamie Colette cooks the best Beef Bourguignon in Paris. Not afraid, we went and tried it. Would you like to be our +1? From the entrance, the 6-hour stewed beef whets the appetite. Smooth beef bourguignon, traditional aligot (cheesy potato mash), foie gras from South West, old-fashioned deviled egg... Mamie knows how to warm the bodies and hearts. Post Covid novelties: very cheesy burgers based on pull duck and delicious cantal, or the famous bourguignon and cantal burger we no longer need to present. Careful though, once you have tried it, you will not want to stop. Never. Same for the incredible sausage cooked in duck fat and aligot. The whole sprinkled with fine wines and/or natural wines for very challenging prices. * To be read * This week's tips in Paris and the Île-de-France region, November 17-23, 2025 More into sweet food? Do not panic, the masters of the house are not forgetting you. Every morning, the restaurant’s chef whips eggs to prepare some delicious homemade chocolate mousse. A delight you will tell us about later. For the others, wrap up your meal with a slice of “cheese of the moment”, served with “after-dinner liqueur” as you can only find in Paris. All these wonders are to be eaten comfortably seated on red bench seats, homemade as well. The siblings who created this address made of it a Parisian bistro we love! And whoever says bistro also means nice prices. The starter, main and dessert set menu starts from €15.50 and the complete from €19.80. A (very) tasty table to simple, hearty, authentic and flavorful grandmother's cuisine. And it is a success. See you soon, Mamie!
